About Coastal Glass Tinting
Since 1980, Coastal Glass Tinting has been providing the Southeastern North Carolina area with premier automotive, residential and commercial Solar Control window Film sales and installation.
Jim and Alice Dean developed a love for energy saving products in the 70s and began their business in 1980 as Coastal Energy Saver, Inc. At that time they offered Solar water heating systems, Solar Screening and Solar Control Window Film.
“People were most interested in tinting their vehicles and reducing heat and glare in their homes resulting in lower utility bills. Partnered with CPFilms, the world’s largest film manufacturer, the Solar Film side of our business began to grow. We are still with this manufacturer to this day. They are now owned by Eastman. We are a Llumar Select Pro FormulaOne Automotive and a Vista Residential/Commercial exclusive window film dealer.”
The films have evolved over the years and they continue to improve the chemistry to meet the industry and customers’ needs. All the films come with Life Time Manufacturers warranties and come in various degrees of shading and performance.
“People choose tinting for different reasons. They may have heat, glare or fading issues. They may need privacy and security or have safety concerns. Some homes have fading issues and need Ultraviolet rejection. We also have a line of decorative films that are desirable for some home or commercial applications. We have developed close relationships with our local car dealerships, building contractors, glass companies and interior designers over the years.”
“We are very grateful for the continued support we have been given by our customers and hope our film products have and will continue to improve the quality of their lives in some small way.”
